We spent much of April and the beginning of May learning about the Earth, and ways we can help to take care of the Earth and make it more beautiful. Planting was a hot topic of conversation, and we have now shifted into our planting unit. Students observed three different "mystery seeds" and recorded their observations in their science notebooks. Afterwards, they each planted one type of seed and made a prediction about what type of seed they planted. Now we have to wait, and watch!
At the end of March, Baker School kindergarten students were part of the annual production of Carnival of the Animals. They spent weeks learning about the symphony music and the animals in the Carnival. Each student created their own costume and practiced performing to the music. The show was spectacular, as always!
