As we wrapped up our structures unit, we turned our focus from towers to enclosures. Students had the opportunity to observe photographs of a variety of enclosures. They then used classroom building materials to create their own enclosures. They demonstrated a great deal of creativity and inventiveness!
After three snow days, we were finally able to celebrate the 100th day of kindergarten! All of the classes joined together for a memorable activity period. We made 100 fruit loop necklaces, DERDNUH (hundred - spelled backwards!) snack mix, built structures with 100 cups, collected 100 signatures, and played hopscotch and other gross motor games. We were so grateful to have so many parent volunteers join us!
